Not surprisingly, the only ingredient needed to make this recipe is bacon! 🥓
I often buy Appleton Farms Thick Cut Bacon from Aldi, which is what I used in these photos. Sometimes I buy Appleton Farms Premium Sliced Bacon instead (also from Aldi).
You can use any type of bacon, but keep in mind that cook time will vary depending on the thickness of your bacon slices. Also, if you use turkey bacon, it will cook much faster since it is thinner and lower in fat.
Tool Needed for This Recipe – Bacon in Air Fryer Ninja
You’ll need an air fryer of your choosing. While there are a million different air fryers out there, I personally use the Ninja Foodi because it has 12 different cooking functions, including both an air fryer and an electric pressure cooker.
Although I love having my air fryer and Instant Pot (plus other cook features) in one appliance, I have to admit I’ve been thinking about buying one of these massive air fryers too. Think of all of the bacon it could hold! 😉
How to Make Keto Air Fryer Bacon {Quick Overview}
This is just a quick overview of some of the steps involved in making the low carb air fryer bacon. For the recipe in detail, including exact measurements used at each step, scroll to the recipe card at the end of the post.

Shape bacon in a loose accordion style (pictured above) and add to air fryer basket.
TIPS:
- Don’t worry too much about overcrowding the basket at first; the bacon will shrink considerably, plus you will stir the bacon throughout the cooking process.
- You can also lay the bacon flat in the air fryer basket to cook it. (Depending on the size of your air fryer basket, you may need to work in batches.) I’m personally too impatient for this method :), so I use the “accordion method” instead.
Turn air fryer on to 400 F.
Cook for 6 to 10 minutes to desired crispiness. During the cooking process, open the air fryer and stir the bacon every 3 minutes.
